Self-portrait by Emilia Momen captures a quiet moment of reflection after an overnight bus journey through Europe during the height of the pandemic. Arriving in Italy, she and her friend, Millie, found solace by the sea, settling on a rocky shore with Portofino in the background. Created in 2020, this piece was later exhibited in Emilia Momen’s solo show at Ronchini Gallery in 2023.
